The Connections Team is available to support the implementation of developmental assets county-wide. This will be accomplished through:
- Networking with community organizations to promote the asset framework within their programs,
- Providing community education and training about the value and benefit of the developmental asset framework,
- Supporting the goals and objectives of increasing youth visibility, involvement and participation in the community,
- Recommending resources, materials and other strategies to further the implementation of the principles and activities of developmental assets.
The Speaker’s Bureau is a team of community adults and youth who can offer a presentation of developmental assets to diverse audiences. We can speak to parents, clubs, faith groups, sports teams, community groups - you name it, we can be there!
Invite a member of the Speaker’s Bureau and your group will:
- Communicate with a common language and implement a vision about young people’s ability to contribute to the community.
- Learn more about how Howard County adults and youth see each other.
- Discover what actions you can take individually and collectively to strengthen relationships with young people.
